In general, prepayments are contrary to federal procurement regulations. Exceptions are made based on the practice of certain industries. As an example, subscriptions must be paid in advance. Request advice from Network Services if you think a prepayment is warranted because a particular industry requires that prepayments be made. The recommended lead-time to process a prepayment purchase requisition is 10 working days, given that all supporting documentation is provided.
